Portraits and figure drawing... The best discpline...

I have just picked up in doing portraiture and models in the past couple of years...All of these shown below were one night sessions. Three hours each max...makes you really work fast and use the paint and brushwork to its maximum.

What a great discipline... I always tell my students, that you never can get enough, like doing the scales of a piano... constant exposure to color, light and form in a portrait will spill over to all other aspects of your painting.
